Doodeedoo, written by Tony Gilbert and illustrated by Sammy Gilbert, is a fantastic children's rhyming book! It has full-color interior art by Sammy, and I must say it is fantastic. Your children will love it! I know I did when doing edits. Tony did a great job and my edits were a dream.

Let it be known that this great book was among a shipment sent to Pamela Sims who reads the Kindle versions of Visionary Press Collaborative books that I sent to her to children suffering from cancer. They love all the artwork as well as the stories. When Pamela asked me how much it would cost for three paper books for Christmas gifts, I asked her how many children she reads to. She said six. I told her I would not only send her three, but another three as well, and VPC would pick up the tab. Of course, Doodeedoo is on on the list. I sure hope Pamela sends me pictures!

Get this great book. You will love it as much as your children.

This is the tale of Doodeedoo
Who was made of socks and superglue
By a little mouse with tiny paws,
Red painted lips, and well-trimmed claws.

She'd read a book called Frankenstein
But never passed page 109,
And as she said, "I'll have a go!"
The mouse picked up some thread to sew...

And so the tale goes, A fun story for children, written in rhyme and a lesson in not judging a book by its cover.
5.0 out of 5 stars Doodeedoo. Cute, adorable and a monster. June 30, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Inspired by Doctor Frankenstein's efforts a little mouse creates a monster, Doodeedoo. Unfortunately the mouse failed to read the whole book….. Help! HELP! There's a monster on the loose, everyone's in danger and it's all the mouse's fault. I won't explain what happens next but kids will have a great time finding out.

Beautifully illustrated and full of fun, this is the perfect book for young readers. The rhyming makes it especially easy and enjoyable to read. Well done, Tony and Sammy Gilbert.

When Doodeedoo came in the post, I couldn’t wait to give it to my daughter, as she is quite independent now in practising her phonics. I let her read the book to me first, before I reread it back to her. The books is ingenious – full of rhythm and rhyme in equal measure, playfully skipping from one page to another. When read aloud, the book turns into a playful episode, which had my daughter in fits of laughter. It is easy to see the moral and links in the story of never judging a book by its cover, or more rather never judging another before you get to know them, but despite its obviousness to us adults, I think it rather hidden for its child audience, which is great as it will linger in their heads and hopefully, gently, coerce them into making the rights choices themselves.

Some great, unique and raw hand-drawn illustrations too that really add to the charm.
