This short Story is 17 pages and PERFECT Read for Memorial Day! It did have me in tears. Becca Boucher is able to convey the TRUE meaning of This Day with her Story of Rachel, her Father, Wayne who served in Vietnam and Blake a soldier who just buried a friend a fellow solder, Bob. It all takes place at the Vietnam War Memorial which I have been Blessed enough to visit and find the name of a Friend who died in that war. I Highly recommend this Story ..I give it 5 American Stars.. VERY well done Ms Boucher!!

This short story was a perfect read over this 4th of July weekend, while waiting for the fireworks to begin. Becca Boucher crafts a short and sweet tale that takes the reader to the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. where Rachel is waiting for her yearly meeting with her father. He is late and Rachel is worried enough to attract the attention of Blake, who is there to show respect while he is on leave. Blake soon realizes that there are things that need to be seen to be believed and that these things are strong enough to bring two strangers together on a night when they need each other.

Becca Boucher crafts a smooth and engaging story filled with suspense, sadness, fear, and love. A great read for anyone who enjoys an author that knows how to use her words to not only haunt you, but to touch your heart. I would definitely recommend this author and will look for more from her.
